All about Clearclad |
|
| CLEARCLAD is a range
of paint products applied by an electrophoretic process also known as electrocoat and
E-coat (What is E-Coat). An unfinished product is immersed in a high-water content electrophoretic paint emulsion, and then an electric current is passed through both the product and the emulsion. The paint particles that are in contact with the product adhere to its surface building up an electrically insulating layer. This layer prevents any further electric current passing through, resulting in a perfectly even coating even in the recessed areas of complex shaped items. After the part is coated, it is cured in an oven that cross-links the coating and allows it to flow; this gives the physical and decorative properties that are desired. CLEARCLAD is designed and manufactured in the U.K by LVH Coatings Ltd. LVH Coatings are dedicated to the production of specialty E-coat systems and solutions for the entire Metal Finishing Industry Worldwide. LVH Coatings have been designing and manufacturing E-coat systems since 1982. (What is special about CLEARCLAD Inc? )
